Our firm offers services in most legal fields including probate, litigation, Wills, property (residential and commercial), family, employment and dispute resolution.
Work experience
Garner & Hancock provide a work placement which offers real responsibility, the opportunity to work alongside our partners and staff, and in some cases attend training seminars, client meetings, court, employment tribunals and more.
Applications
We offer a small number of unpaid week-long work placements for any university or post graduate students looking to develop their CV in preparation for applying for a training contract with our firm. We normally only accept applications from those eligible to apply for a training contract during the same year the work experience placement takes place. Ordinarily this means that you will be in your second or third year of a full time law degree, in your final year of a non-law degree or undertaking post graduate study. To apply please send a covering letter and a copy of your CV to info@garner-hancock.co.uk. The deadline for work placements is 1st February for Easter and for summer is 1st May each year.

Garner & Hancock has shown itself as an incredibly friendly firm with a very helpful approach to those it invites to undertake work experience here. The excellently organised work experience at the firm meant that I had access to as many areas of the law as possible, including corporate, conveyancing and litigation, and my work has varied from drafting deeds to going to a trial. Everyone, from trainees to partners, has been eager to involve me in the work they have done and given me the responsibility to undertake proper legal work and complete tasks myself.
