My dinner guest would be John Grisham. His legal thrillers capture my imagination and his ability to weave compelling narratives from complex legal situations continues to inspire me. He brings together sharp storytelling, moral depth, and a keen understanding of human motivations. I would welcome the chance to discuss how his experiences as a lawyer shaped his writing, how he constructs such gripping plots, and which of his characters he feels the strongest connection to.

Recent Work

  • Financial remedy negotiation – Advised and guided her client through their complex multi-million pound divorce and financial remedy proceedings, with issues relating to early inheritance from a family member, several pensions and 4 properties.  
  • Contested probate settlement – Assisted in resolving a dispute involving long and complex claims against an estate, challenging the validity of the Will, and achieving a settlement in favour of our client that avoided court proceedings.
  • Deputyship application – Supported a family member in securing a deputyship for their father, who had been financially exploited by another relative over a number of years, bringing the abuse to an end and safeguarding his future well-being.
  • Financial remedy progression – Represented a client in a financial remedy matter involving multiple assets, including property, pensions and a business, securing a favourable agreement for her client.
  • Estate defence – Acted for the executors of an estate facing a claim under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, helping to protect the estate’s intentions and beneficiaries whilst avoiding protracted litigation.
