Need an LV Equity Release solicitor certificate?
We provide a clear and practical service for clients who need the certificate dealt with properly and without delay.
Why is this needed?
LV requires a solicitor to confirm that:
- You have received legal advice
- You understand the transaction
- Your identity has been checked
- There are no concerns about capacity, duress, or undue influence
The certificate also requires at least one face-to-face meeting. It cannot be done only by Zoom or telephone.
What do we need from you?
Please send us:
- the LV certificate
- the mortgage offer and papers
- your photo ID
- your proof of address
We will then arrange an appointment.
How does it work?
1. Send us the papers
We read the full pack, including the mortgage, terms, and certificate.
2. We carry out checks
We deal with ID, address, and the usual legal checks.
3. Meet with us in person
We go through the equity release with you face-to-face, as required by the certificate.
4. Tailored advice and letter of advice
We advise you on the transaction in light of your own circumstances and prepare a full letter of advice.
5. We sign off the certificate
Once satisfied, we complete and sign the solicitor certificate for LV.
