Join Us for a Community Event: Living with Dementia at Syon Park
As part of Dementia Action Week (May 19th–25th), we’re excited to support an initiative that encourages open conversations about dementia and the important legal aspects of planning for the future. On Tuesday, May 20th, starting at 11:30 AM, we invite you to join us at the Living with Dementia event at Syon Park, Brentford, hosted by our friends at Dementia Friends Hounslow. An organisation we’ve been proud to be a part of for the past two years!
This event is all about bringing together individuals, families, and professionals to chat about the realities of living with dementia and the available support.
Nigel George, Head of Life Planning at Garner & Hancock Solicitors, will be at the event advising about key topics like capacity and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA). He’ll help everyone understand the legal frameworks that can protect individuals and their loved ones.
But that’s not all! Our friendly Life Planning team will be at our stand, ready to offer free guidance on LPAs and Wills. These tools can help your family make informed decisions about the future and ensure your wishes are honoured.
What is Dementia Action Week
Dementia Action Week is a fantastic national campaign led by the Alzheimer’s Society that aims to raise awareness and inspire action to enhance the lives of those affected by dementia. This year’s theme highlights early diagnosis, stressing the importance of getting support sooner rather than later.
Please come along! If you’re affected by dementia, supporting someone, or want to learn more, this event is a great chance to enhance your understanding and connect with others facing similar challenges.
