Celebrating Imogen Cotter’s Qualification as a Solicitor

Garner & Hancock is delighted to announce that Imogen Cotter has officially qualified as a Solicitor, marking an important milestone in her legal career and a proud moment for the firm.

Imogen joined Garner & Hancock in 2022 after graduating with a first‑class degree in Law from the University of Portsmouth, where she also volunteered at the university’s free legal clinic, supporting members of the wider community. Since joining the firm, she has gained hands‑on experience across both the Life Planning and Dispute Resolution departments, demonstrating exceptional commitment, curiosity, and professionalism at every stage of her training.

Alongside her full‑time role, Imogen completed her Legal Practice Course with a Master of Laws at BPP University, balancing academic excellence with the demands of client work — a testament to her determination and work ethic. Her qualifications reflect years of dedication, rigorous study, and a genuine passion for helping clients navigate some of life’s most sensitive and complex matters.

As she steps into her new role, Imogen will continue her career within the Life Planning department, while also contributing to the Dispute Resolution team. Her recent work includes assisting on high‑value probate disputes, supporting vulnerable clients with Wills and LPAs, advising on cross‑border estate planning, and helping families resolve inheritance and trust issues with clarity and care.

Beyond her legal expertise, Imogen brings warmth, empathy, and a thoughtful approach to every client interaction.

We are incredibly proud of Imogen. Her qualification strengthens our team and reinforces our commitment to nurturing the next generation of exceptional solicitors.

Please join us in congratulating Imogen on this well‑deserved achievement.
