Celebrating 25 Years of Care: A Wonderful Evening for Mulberry Cancer Support

On Saturday 26 October, Mulberry Cancer Support marked an incredible 25 years of supporting people affected by cancer with a memorable gala dinner at the Clayton Hotel in Chiswick.

More than 180 guests came together to celebrate the charity’s remarkable work and, thanks to the generosity of everyone who attended, £31,000 was raised on the night. The evening featured fantastic live music, a silent auction and an auction full of enthusiasm and friendly competition, all helping to raise vital funds for the charity.

One of the most moving parts of the evening was hearing directly from people who have been supported by Mulberry. They spoke openly and courageously about their cancer journeys and the difference the charity had made to their lives. Their stories were a powerful reminder of why Mulberry’s work is so important.

Nigel George, Head of Life Planning and Partner at Garner & Hancock, attended the event alongside fellow partners Jakub Kotan and Kiran Walia, together with their partners. Garner & Hancock was also delighted to support the evening with a £1,000 donation to help Mulberry continue providing its invaluable services to the local community.

The firm has enjoyed a close relationship with Mulberry for many years. Through its Life Planning team, Garner & Hancock provides a free monthly advice clinic for Mulberry clients, offering guidance on matters such as wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and inheritance tax planning.

While Mulberry Cancer Support is based on the West Middlesex Hospital campus, it is an independent charity and receives no government funding. Every service it provides is free of charge, making the support of fundraisers, volunteers and donors essential to its continued success.
