Death and a prenuptial agreement

I do not want my partner to make any claims after my death

This can be provided for or in any pre-nuptial that such claims cannot be made. But if parties have children then such claims cannot be avoided under section 2 of the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.

Should I get a will drawn up whilst I am considering a Pre-nuptial agreement?

It is best to have a drawn up. You may also explain why you may not wish to leaver all or some of your assets to you spouse.  This is called a letter of wishes.

It is best to review a will at the time of marriage as any will should fit with what you have said in the pre-nuptial agreement. Talk to Nigel George or Jakub Kotan about further advice on this and efficient tax planning.
